Youth Support Worker
For those working in a supporting role to professionally qualified workers (often this is not an individuals’ main career and they may do this work in the evenings or day in addition to their main job)
– CQFW Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice (minimum 27 credits)
– CQFW Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice (minimum 26 credits)
In Wales, the Agored Cymru level 2 & 3 qualifications are used by many local authorities
They are delivered locally by Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales, Monmouthshire Youth Service, Swansea YMCA, Youth Cymru, Yr Urdd, and the Youth Work Training Academy for Wales
These courses are delivered locally so look on your local authority website under ‘y’ in the A-Z section to find contact details of your local Youth Service and manager. They will be able to provide details of youth work training available.
