Working Together to Address Youth Homelessness Conference 2025
Stakeholders from across Wales came together for the annual Working Together to Address Youth Homelessness conference, bringing together all 22 Local Authorities, End Youth Homelessness Cymru (EYHC), GISDA, the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), and the Welsh Government to strengthen collaboration and share good practice in tackling youth homelessness in Wales. The event provided a unique opportunity for practitioners, policymakers, and partners from across the youth, housing, and education sectors to connect, learn, and plan for the future.
The day opened with a keynote addresses from Anya Davin-Easey and Rocio Cifuentes, Children’s Commissioner for Wales, who both emphasised the importance of listening to the voice of those with first-hand experience of the associated factors.
Throughout the day, delegates participated in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and live Vevox sessions, contributing their insights and experiences on professional learning needs, effective partnership approaches, and the development of future pathways to prevent youth homelessness.
The conference’s central message was clear: no single service can end youth homelessness alone. The collective ambition is to strengthen partnerships, build understanding across sectors, and inform national planning to ensure every young person in Wales has a safe place to call home.
As the day closed, participants were invited to make a pledge, committing to an action they would take within their own organisation to further the national mission of ending youth homelessness.
