ETS Wales Professional Endorsement – Questions for current / recent students
Dear student / ex-student,
We would like to have your views about the programme which you are currently undertaking or have recently undertaken.
ETS Wales professionally endorses youth work training programmes to ensure they are of a suitable quality and relevant to the needs of employers, youth workers and young people.
It does this on behalf of the Joint Negotiating Committee for Youth & Community Work (JNC). This means that by successfully completing one of these programmes you will be recognised across the UK and Ireland as a JNC-qualified Professional Youth Worker. In Wales this also means that you can be registered with the Education Workforce Council alongside teachers and other education workers.
A panel representing ETS Wales will meet with management and lecturing staff and local employers to question them about the nature of the youth work programme delivered. The panel also usually meets with current and recent students but where this is not possible we ask them to complete a short questionnaire instead as it is important that the panel hears their opinions.
Please note, your replies are confidential to the panel and are not shared with university staff, although they will inform the questions we ask staff.
If you require any additional information on the work of ETS Wales, please contact me by email.
Thank you in advance.
